My name is Jamila Bell and I drove 100 miles to be with you last Saturday – 100 miles back to the community that shaped me into the woman I am today.
From a little black girl swimming at the Clinton Public Pool, to a young preteen playing basketball and the clarinet as a Red Tornado, and of course walking across the stage at the amphitheater as a young woman to get my high school…
