Lady Reds volleyball hosts yearly two-day tourney

The Clinton Lady Reds hosted the Best of the West Tournament Friday and Saturday.After taking down Pathways 2-1 (22-25, 25-19, 15-6), Clinton (1-5) fell 2-0 (25-19 and 25-12) to Elgin, 2-0 (25-11 and 25-13) to Weatherford and 2-0 (25-13 and 25-18) to Oklahoma Christian Academy.

A-B softball makes short work of Arnett in win

Following a one-run loss to Woodward earlier in the week, the Arapaho-Butler Lady Indians softball team (2-1) came back with a vengeance, as it took down Arnett 13-1 in three innings at home Thursday.

Former Lady Indian moving to Division-I softball

After completing her freshman year at Western Oklahoma State College in Altus, former Arapaho-Butler softball player Jaycee South will be heading south to Abiliene, Texas, to play softball for the Abilien Christian University Wildcats.

Masonic Lodge prepares to host softball tourney

This weekend, Clinton’s Masonic Lodge will be putting on a softball tournament at Acme Brick Park starting tomorrow morning.For lodge member Cale McCoy, he said the organization is wanting to do this as a charity event.

Clinton drops season opener to Lady Bulldogs

To kick off the new season, the Clinton Lady Reds softball team fell behind early at home Tuesday and were unable to recover, as it fell 17-4 to Altus at home.For Coach Janie Worthington, she said despite the outcome, there were a few good things she noticed from her girls.

With the season right around the corner, the Clinton High School Football Booster Club is searching for donations for the team.Donations can be brought to Meet the Players Saturday at the Tornado Bowl, with the yearly event starting at 7 p.m.

Former A-B player finding fit in college softball

After finishing her freshman season, former Arapaho-Butler softball player Katelyn Garibay has her eyes on pushing her game farther.Garibay recorded a batting average of .333 on 47 hits in 51 games for Western Oklahoma State College at Altus.
