It’s my party and I’ll vote blindly if I want to.” Those weren’t exactly the precise lyrics of Lesley Gore’s hit, “It’s My Party,” back in 1963, but they could well apply today.
Never before has the nation been so starkly divided like it currently is. Tolerance for other points of view and especially other political parties is not only frowned upon, it’s considered downright deplorable.
