Embezzlement charges filed

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a local woman accused of embezzling approximately $8,000 in cash and $160 in merchandise from Dollar General. Sierra Malone, 26, of Clinton, was allegedly captured on security footage pocketing funds at multiple points.

A-B Pre-K Play Nights established

More fair results announced

This year’s Custer County Free Fair had its fair share of friendly competition, with both the Tractor Driving Contest and the Farm Hand Olympics having several groups and competitors. Here are the results from those events.

Adams set for Ward 3; A-B vote passes

Tuesday night’s election resulted in a chosen candidate to represent Ward 3 on the Clinton City Council and the passage of a bond for the Arapaho-Butler School District, which will allow for the construction of a new agriculture building.

Fair livestock results listed

With the 99th annual Custer County Free Fair comes plenty of livestock to be shown, with students from all over the county taking part in the competitions. Here are some of the results for the various different shows during the event.

County enters into jail agreement

Custer County commissioners Monday approved a jail agreement with Blaine County, which will allow Custer County to send prisoners to the Blaine County facility.“That’s a standard thing we do with counties around us that touch us. We just didn’t have one with Blaine County,” said Sheriff Dan Day.
