Taxing room/home rentals questioned

Currently the City of Clinton does not receive any special lodging revenue from visitors staying in locations offered up for daily rental via Airbnb and other entities. This is a situation Councilmember Erin Adams wanted to address with her fellow councilmembers during Tuesday’s meeting.

CRH turns to new leaders

At Tuesday’s special meeting of the Clinton Regional Hospital Authority, RN/CNO Brendan Price and HR Administration Assistant Chasity Richardson were named co-administrators for the hospital.“We need to put somebody in charge and thought this was a good approach,” said Chairman Ken Baker.

Archery teams compete at state

On the biggest stage of their season, the Clinton Middle and Clinton High School archery teams traveled to Tulsa last week and competed at the Grand State Archery Tournament.For Coach Michele Granger, she said both teams performed well, but she believes they could have done better.

Rebel Heart Ministries hosting event at Cornerstone

Rebel Heart Ministries, a local faith-based organization, is hosting the Christian band Scout and the Saints at 6 p.m. Saturday at Cornerstone Church in Clinton. Rebel Heart Ministries is the brainchild of Jessica Gass, and this is the first event hosted by the organization.
