Kilauea displays lava fountains for the 37th time since eruption

 HONOLULU (AP) — The on-and-off eruption that’s been dazzling residents and visitors on Hawaii’s Big Island for nearly a year resumed Tuesday as Kilauea volcano sent fountains of lava soaring 400 feet into the air.

Multi-County Grand Jury indicts sheriff for domestic abuse

Coal County Sheriff Jason Smith has been indicted by the Multi-County Grand Jury on one count of domestic abuse and one count of assault and battery. Related to these allegations, grand jurors also indicted Undersheriff Jesse Yother for intimidating a witness and obstructing an officer.

Congestive heart failure starts chain reaction

Dear Doctors: My husband is 74 and has congestive heart failure. He has what look like burns on his left leg. There is a lot of swelling, and his leg is leaking blood and fluid. He sees a cardiologist and has been told he should see a vascular surgeon. Why a surgeon? How would that help?
