Silver Alert issued for man seen here

A silver alert has been issued for 61-year-old Michael Carter, who was last seen in Clinton on May 6 and has been reported missing. As of press time, the investigation is still ongoing, and individuals who may have seen Carter are encouraged to contact law enforcement as soon as possible.

Tax added to short-term rental sites

The City of Clinton’s hotel/motel tax is due to receive an influx of funds once Ordinance No. 1038 officially goes into effect allowing tax to be collected from property owners offering short-term rentals.The ordinance was accepted in a “marked up” state by the Clinton City Council Tuesday night.

Graduation events set for area schools
