$1.9 million in funding for airport

Clinton Regional Airport will be receiving a total of $1.9 million in grants to fund construction of a new 10-unit T-hangar and 60-foot by 60-foot box hangar, according to a press release issued by the Oklahoma Department of Aerospace and Aeronautics.

Filing dates set for city council

Dates for Clinton City Council candidacy filings are approaching for Ward 1 and Ward 3. The opening for filing will begin at 8 a.m. on July 28, and will close at 5 p.m. on July 30.Candidates can file at any time between the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on those days.

American Legion Post 41 marks installation of officers, leadership

The America Legion Post 41 held its first meeting of the new year July 7.During the meeting, new officers for the post were installed by Department of Oklahoma Chaplain Bobby Stewart. Stewart also serves as an adjutant for the post.
