High winds topple trees

With Sunday evening’s roaring rain and winds, with speeds maxing out to 57 mph according to the National Weather Service, the City of Clinton has plans in motion to collect fallen tree limbs throughout the town.

During Tuesday’s Clinton City Council meeting there were topics quickly considered, including a public hearing to address the proposed annual budget for the City’s fiscal year of 2025-2026.

Meget hired as superintendent

The Clinton Public Schools Board of Education held a special meeting Friday, where it announced Nathan Meget as the new superintendent of Clinton Public Schools.

Clinton voters to determine hospital sale

Tuesday Clinton voters will determine the fate of Clinton Regional Hospital in a second vote seeking to amend the original ordinance approved in January to transfer ownership of the medical facility from the City of Clinton to Rural Hospital Solutions.
