Suicide car bomber strikes school bus in southwestern Pakistan

(AP) — A suicide car bomber struck a school bus in southwestern Pakistan on Wednesday, killing five people — including three children — and wounding 38 others, officials said, the latest attack in tense Balochistan province.

Arrested jail worker says he helped inmates escape after threat

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — A New Orleans jail maintenance worker has been arrested and is being held on a $1.1 million bond after admitting he turned water o  to a toilet covering a hole in a cell wall, allowing 10 men to squeeze through the gap in one of the largest jailbreaks in recent U.S. history.

Imaginaries kick off free concert series

With summer finally knocking on the doorstep, the Levitt AMP Clinton Music Series is set to return at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the R.E. “Dick” Lloyd Amphitheatre in McLain Rogers Park with Oklahoma duo The Imaginaries making their Clinton return as well.

Schools secure bond financing

The Clinton Public Schools Board of Education held a special meeting Monday morning to go over bids for the $1,950,000 General Obligation Bonds for the construction of the new Clinton Middle School.
