Authority to ask for $2 million

Before Clinton citizens cast their vote one more time to determine if Clinton Regional Hospital will be sold to Rural Hospital Solutions, the Clinton Hospital Authority has set in motion a plea for assistance in obtaining operating capital from the City of Clinton.

No major damage reported from recent storms, rain deluge

While other areas of the state were hit hard with flooding and other issues, there was no report of major instances in Clinton. Besides three water pumps going down for a short time Tuesday night because of the rain and possible lightning, that was the extent of disruption for the City of Clinton.

Man rescued from Japan’s Mount Fuji twice

TOKYO (AP) — A climber airlifted with altitude sickness from near the peak of Japan’s Mount Fuji last week returned to the slope and was rescued for a second time just four days later, authorities said Monday.
