U.S. appeals court raises concerns about use of nitrogen gas

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) — Alabama’s use of nitrogen gas to put people to death needs more study of whether it violates a constitutional ban on cruel and unusual punishment, a federal appeals court decided Monday.

CPS gives update on process dealing with school bonds

The Clinton Board of Education held a special meeting last week to talk about the district’s $2,765,000 general obligation building bonds for the 2026 tax year.The original bond in question was voted on and issued in 2022 for the amount of $50,850,000.
