ARDMORE – A regional title is special in its own right for a freshman, but it wasn’t enough for Clinton thrower Kat Meacham. The first year varsity competitor threw 133-feet, one-inch on her final, discus throw of the day to claim the Class 5A state title Saturday.
Meacham had the longest throw heading into the finals. She threw 124-feet but was later topped by Ardmore’s Izabela Popa.
