In the hunt for trophies, both Clinton High School soccer programs got the season off to a good start with wins at home Friday night.
Clinton Red Tornado soccer (1-0) opened its title defense with close 2-1 victory over the Comets, while the Lady Reds (1-0) opened the season with a dominating showing against Classen SAS in which Clinton ended the game early in a 10-0 rout.
