Postseason play can be bittersweet, while one team advances, the other one sees its season come to an end.
The Clinton High School Lady Reds basketball team (5-21) overcame a low-scoring first half to take down Cushing 32-29 to advance in the Class 4A playoff consolation bracket.
The Reds (8-18) were unable to continue their hot start, as they fell 52-36 against Mannford Thursday in Kingfisher.
