Harvey “Dick” Sawatzky

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Harvey “Dick” Sawatzky, a resident of Clinton, Oklahoma, who departed this world at the age of 87. A celebration of Dick’s life will take place on Monday, March 24, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the Randy Kiesau Chapel, situated within the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home at 2500 W. Modelle Ave., Clinton, OK. The family will hold a private burial, at a later date.

Born on November 8, 1937, to Harvey P. and Bertha (Dyck) Sawatzky in Clinton, OK. His formative years culminated at Clinton High School, after which he embarked on life’s adventures, marrying Letha Harrelson, on October 21, 1956.

Dick’s career with AT&T was marked by hard work, which saw him travel to 97 cities across the United States, erecting microwave towers. Returning to Clinton, he joined the TV Cable Company as a lineman and installer, where he dedicated many years until retirement. He enjoyed helping others with farmwork and loved woodworking with a wood lathe.
