According to the fishing report from Custer County Game Warden Clint Carpenter, on March 16 the water at Foss Lake was 3 feet below its normal elevation level, but it was in stable condition and clear with the temperature around 41°F.
In Carpenter’s report, he said bass and striped hybrids are good to catch with the use of fluke and minnow bait at this time around the rocks in the main lake.
