Press Meacham was born May 2, 1932, on the family farm in Clinton Oklahoma. After a brief illness he died peacefully surrounded by his family, listening to his favorite hymns and holding his son’s hand.
He was preceded in death by his parents, C.C. Meacham Sr., and Artie Mae Culwell Meacham, and 14 siblings. He attended Clinton schools and graduated in 1950.
He remained a loyal “Red Tornado” for life. Following graduation, his first job was at the Clinton Daily News. In 1956 he moved his family to Oklahoma City and went to work for Proctor and Gamble. He retired from P&G after forty years and earned many awards for top salesman. He went on to work for grocery brokerages until 2020, when the Covid epidemic forced his final retirement.
