Dana Lee West, age 69, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, May 14, 2025. He was born August 13, 1955, in Clinton, Oklahoma, to Lemuel L. and Minnie (Hauser) West.
Dana was raised in Calumet and graduated from Calumet High School in 1973. He continued his education at Mc-Cook Community College in Nebraska, earning his degree in 1981, and later attended the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science, where he became a licensed funeral director and embalmer in 1983.
A dedicated servant to families during their times of loss, Dana served in numerous funeral homes across Southwest Oklahoma, including Stanley-Lee, Lockstone, Huber-Benson, and Russworm Funeral Homes. He also owned and operated funeral homes in Concho and Bristow, Oklahoma. Dana’s passion for funeral service was deeply rooted in compassion, tradition, and respect.
