With its back to the wall and down to its final play of the game, the Clinton Red Tornado football team (1-3, 1-0) stole victory from the Weatherford Eagles, as Clinton scored on fourth down in overtime and connected for the two-point try to win 22-21 in the “Custer County Conflict.”
For acting coach Gene Ray, he said he loved seeing his guys fight for this win and hopes they can build on it going forward.
“I am super proud of them and their performance in this game,” he said. “No one likes starting 0-3 and I wanted these guys to feel what success meant. I am so happy that these guys get to understand that.
