The Arapaho-Butler Lady Indians softball team (33-8-1) finished on top of the Class A softball world after taking down Caddo 5-3 Saturday at Devon Park in Oklahoma City for the program’s first title.
As he stood there taking it all in, Coach Luke Thompson said this title solidifies what he and his team thought about their program.
“I think this is validation for our program,” he said. “We felt like we were one of the better programs in Class A for the last five years and then just puts a stamp on it. It is kind of apropos that we got to play Caddo for the title because they had beaten us out so many times and they had won titles so many in a row.”
