Mark Switzer has officially been named and accepted the office of fire chief for the Clinton Fire Department.
Switzer has been acting as interim Fire Chief for Clinton since February. He previously served as assistant fire chief for three and a half years.
Clinton City Manager Robert Johnston talked about choosing Switzer for the position. “It was not a particularly difficult decision. I asked him if he was willing to do it, and he said he was willing and able,” he said. “His experience as a firefighter and administrative experience will make him a fine representation of the Clinton Fire Department.”
