John David Thompson, age 68, passed away at his home in Springfield, Missouri, on July 27, 2026. Known as JD or Dave, he graduated from Clinton High School in the Class of 1975.
He was preceded in death by his parents Charles Robert and Paula Maxine (Williams) Thompson as well as his brother Steven Patrick Thompson.
He is survived by his four children Jonathan Thompson, wife Mandy, Mathew Thompson, wife Cindy, Sarah Sanchez, husband Anthony, and William Thompson, wife Eliza, Cardova VanWert, their mother and ten grandchildren.
He is also survived by his brother, Mark Thompson, wife Jayne.
Services were held in Springfield, Missouri on August 1, 2026.
