Monday’s district opener for the Clinton fastpitch softball team got off to a rough start that concluded in a 17-2, runrule defeat at the hands of Elgin.
The Lady Reds (8-4 overall, 0-1 in district, as of press time Tuesday) went from one of the program’s highs at the Woodward Tournament to one of its lows versus its league opponent.
