Gregory Lynn Humphreys

Gregory Lynn Humphreys, age 68, of Fay, Oklahoma, peacefully passed away on May 3, 2026, in his hometown of Fay. Born on August 29, 1957, to Oscar and Harlena (Woldridge) Humphreys, Gregory was a lifelong member of the Fay community.

He married Carla Brewer on August 20, 1988, in Red Lodge, Montana.

Gregory graduated from Thomas High School in 1975. During his high school years, he was an active athlete, playing football as a guard and outside linebacker, with several honorable mentions. Following high school, he married Patti Jo Boileau. To this union, two children were born, Lyndi and Ty. He liked to state he was “jack of all trades, master of none” with working in the oilfield, Dobbins Feedlot or cutting timber in Montana. He owned an Indian Music trade store, with his dad, in Montana and Fay, Oklahoma. He had a deep appreciation for the outdoors, enjoying activities such as hunting deer, elk, antelope, fishing, and “cowboying.”

A meaningful milestone in Gregory’s life occurred on January 14, 2025, when he embraced his faith by accepting Jesus Christ as his Savior and was baptized.

Greg is survived by his wife, Carla Humphreys; daughters, Lyndi Jo Taff and husband, Dusty, of Jasper, Texas, Tysie Humphreys of Burns Flat, Oklahoma; sons, Blaine Humphreys and wife, Kendall, of Weatherford, Oklahoma; Seth Humphreys of Watonga, Oklahoma; Jacob Humphreys of Fay, Oklahoma; brother, Doug Humphreys and wife, Pam, of Holdenville, Oklahoma; sister, Becky Trent and husband, David, of Fay, Oklahoma; brother-inlaw, Ernie Brewer and wife, Denise; sister-in-law, Cathy Schonenbach and husband, Roger; grandchildren, Kasten, Kynli Jo, Keagan, Kennedy, Addison, Kolby, Harlena, and Elias, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Kathy Humphreys; son, Tighe Humphreys; parents, Oscar and Harlena Humphreys and grandson, Jase Humphreys.

A memorial service to honor Gregory’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 11, 2026, at the Fay Community Center located on 1st Street in Fay, Oklahoma. Friends and family are invited to gather and celebrate his memory. A luncheon will follow in the cafeteria.

Services are under the care of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton, Oklahoma.
