Patricia was born July 1, 1931 in Bessie Oklahoma to Arthur and Mary Everett.
She spent her childhood living on farms in western Oklahoma and southeastern Nebraska. She graduated from high school in Fairbury, NE in 1949.
Patricia attended Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas and returned to Oklahoma where she worked for Shell Oil Company.
