Kenneth (Ken) Smalley

February 18, 1930 – August 11, 2019 Kenneth L. (Ken ) Smalley was born in Custer City, Oklahoma, on February 18, 1930. His parents were Richard E. Smalley and Leila Floy (Fergason) Smalley. The Smalley family moved to Weatherford, Oklahoma, where Ken attended school through the 5th grade.

A funeral service will be held for Irvin Schmidt, 85, of Arapaho, at 10 a.m. Friday at the First Mennonite Church in Clinton. He died Friday, Aug. 9, 2019, at Grace Living Center in Clinton. Schmidt was born Sept. 11, 1933, to A.P. and Hilda Schmidt. He served in the U.S. Air Force.

Robert Turnbow

Robert Earl Turnbow, lovingly referred to by his friends as “Big Robb” passed from this life on August 1, 2019 in Elk City at age 32. He was born on November 18, 1986 in Monroe, Louisiana to Leonard Earl Turnbow and Katherine Jane (Fabela) Turnbow.

Funeral services for Nicky Smith, 67, of Arapaho, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel. He died Saturday, Aug. 10, 2019. Smith was born Oct. 28, 1951, to Victor and Tillie Smith in Clinton, where he also graduated from Clinton High School.

William “Bill” Ross Jr.

Funeral services for William “Bill” Ross Jr., 67, of Enid and formerly of Clinton, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel. He died Monday, Aug. 5, 2019, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. Ross was born Sept. 26, 1951, to William L. Ross Sr.

Funeral services will be held for Jessie Vanderpool, 84, of Clinton and formerly of Woodward, at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Woodward First Christian Church. She died Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2019, in her Clinton home. Jessie Faye Vanderpool was born Oct.

Freddie Lindsey

Funeral services will be held for Freddie Dean Lindsey, 65, of Clinton at 2 p.m. today at the First Baptist Church in Clinton. He died Sunday, Aug. 4, 2019, in his home east of Clinton. Lindsey was born Jan. 15, 1954, to Ova and Dora (Deela) Lindsey.

Mary Powers

Final rites for former Clinton retailer Mary Powers, 79, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel with Paul Fuentes Jr. officiating. The former Mary Katherine Dawson was born May 24, 1940, at Custer City to Henry and Esther Snell Dawson.
