As the Clinton cross country team continues through its season, the program hit the road Saturday and headed north to compete in the Kingfisher meet.
For Coach Ashley Griffith, she believed her team did pretty well despite the barriers they faced during the race.
“I thought the meet went well for us overall,” she said. “It was a muddy mess, but I think every course in the state Saturday would’ve been that way after all of the rain we got. We had some runners who wanted to go a little bit faster than what they did during the meet, but despite the obstacles with the mud and the humidity, I thought they did well and I was proud of them and how they performed this weekend.
