For the first time in district play, the Clinton Red Tornado football team (4-4, 4-1) found itself on the wrong side of the score, as Clinton fell 48-45 in a doubleovertime thriller to the Cache Bulldogs (3-5, 3-2) Thursday in Cache.
For Acting Head Coach Gene Ray, he said he could tell what was hurting the team throughout the game.
“We made too many mistakes tonight,” he said. “There have been a lot of times this year where we have made too many mistakes on the field and we paid for it tonight. We have to come ready to play every day and it starts at practice. Right now, we are carrying over some practice habits and we have to be more mature.
