Lady Indians softball sweeps BF-DC for district title

With its postseason hopes on the line, the Arapaho-Butler Lady Indians softball team (25-8) took down the Burns Flat-Dill City Lady Eagles softball team with ease Thursday in Arapaho as the Lady Indians won 12-0 in three innings during game one and 13-1, also in three innings, during game two to advance.

While he was happy his team secured the district once again, A-B softball coach Luke Thompson said he noticed some rough areas as well.

“I think we played well at times and I also think we were flat at others” he said. “Sometimes it is hard to get up for games like this, but in the end, we were good enough to make plays and have good at bats in order to take care of business.”
