A familiar face to take over Clinton boys’ hoops team

After leaving Clinton two years ago to be an assistant coach in Yukon, Mark Seiter is returning to Clinton to take over the Clinton High School boys’ basketball team for next season after former coach Lucian Bliss departed for the Sentinel opening last week.

Baseball tourney to combat heat this week

For the second consecutive week, Clinton will be hosting a tournament at Schumacher Fields at Acme Brick Park.The OK Kids 8U Baseball Tournament kicks off today, but unlike last week, this multi-day sporting event will be battling the late-June heatwave during each day it is held.

Powell earns top awards for stellar season

After completing the season with a batting average of .502, 32 home runs, 104 RBI on 109 hits, former Clinton Reds baseball player Caden Powell was award the Player of the Year Award for junior college Monday. He also was recognized with an All-American honor for his season.

Meacham receives state award for track and field

To add to her legendary career as a member of the Clinton Red Tornadoes track and field team, recently graduated Kat Meacham was awarded the Gatorade Player of the Year for Track and Field in the state of Oklahoma.

Clinton 12U softball gains experience in tourney

For the Clinton 12U softball team, it came away with valuable experience from the OK Kids 12U Softball State Tournament that was held at Schumacher Fields at Acme Brick Park this weekend.The Lady Reds managed to play in three games of the tournament.

Last team standing

The Mooreland Havoc were crowned the 2024 OK Kids 12U Softball State Champions Saturday when they defeated Elk City 5-2. They finished the year with a record of 40-15.

Clinton falls in first game of state tourney

To kickoff its time in the OK Kids 12U Softball Tournament, which is being held at Schumacher Fields at Acme Brick Park, the Clinton Lady Reds went up against the Anadarko Lady Warriors, where they fell 12-4 in five innings Thursday.
