(AP) — Georgia defensive tackle Jalen Carter was given 12 months’ probation and a $1,000 fine on Thursday after pleading no contest to misdemeanor charges of reckless driving and racing related to a crash that killed Bulldogs offensive lineman Devin Willock and a recruiting staff member.

When one thinks of Clinton football and head coaches, most will mention Mike Lee. Some may think of Dave Meadows, and both are well deserving to be mentioned when Clinton football comes up in any conversation, but the one that brought the first state championship to Clinton was Jim Frazier.

Clinton’s Gage Gaunt appeared to have Mid-America Christian’s number last weekend when USAO’s baseball team played host at Chickasha.Over the three games the junior went 8-of-10 at the plate with three doubles, one triple, one home run and three RBI to his credit in addition to scoring five runs.

On a cold, blustery Monday the Clinton High School baseball team spotted Leedey a 10-0 lead before fighting back in an eventual 10-8 defeat.Leedey scored four runs in the first inning and six in the third. The Reds would not allow another run to the Bison the rest of the way.
