CHS track athletes score well at Weatherford

Friday the Clinton High School track teams traveled to participate in the conference meet in Weatherford, while Kat Meacham competed in the John Jacobs Invitational at the University of Oklahoma.Meacham took second in discus with a throw of 141’05” and third in the shot put, 38’05.

Reds fall in regular season finale

To finish out the regular season Friday at home the Clinton High School baseball team welcomed Weatherford.The Eagles made themselves at home with a 23-5 win in another edition of the “Custer County Conflict.”“We looked ugly on a couple plays defensively,” Clinton Coach Kelly Gaunt said.

Lady Reds place in top three for two tournaments

With regionals right around the corner, the Clinton Lady Reds golf team traveled Monday and Tuesday to participate in the Weatherford and Tecumseh tournaments.Even with some having a bad outing one day, the Lady Reds managed to turn it around the next day on a tough course.

Lady Indians sweep Seiling for softball district title

The Arapaho-Butler Lady Indians were crowned district champs in slow-pitch softball Thursday at home after defeating Seiling 10-2 and 10-9 in a best-of-three series.Jaycee South got things going in the first game by reaching base on an error and coming around to score to put A-B on top 1-0.

Red Tornadoes finish third at Riverside

The Clinton High School boys’ golf team enjoyed one of its most successful outings with a thirdplace tournament finish Thursday at the Red Tornadoes’ home course, Riverside Golf Course. The Red Tornadoes shot 347 as a team to claim tourney hardware.
