Heerwald wins third football picks contest

Michael Heerwald is the third winner of the third 2022 S&D Drug & Electronics football picks contest.Heerwald was one of three people who picked eight out of 10 games correctly but won since he was the closest to guessing how many rushing yards Clinton would record against Heritage Hall.

A-B finishes runner up at Sentinel tourney

SENTINEL –– No. 20 Arapaho-Butler finished second at the Sentinel tournament.The Indians defeated Hydro-Eakly 6-3 on Friday to advance to the championship game.A-B needed just one win and would face Hydro-Eakly again.The Bobcats needed to beat the Indians twice.

Hard cut on a fast ball

Reds defeat Heritage Hall

OKLAHOMA CITY –– It has been nine years since Clinton defeated Heritage Hall, until Friday.Clinton defeated the Chargers 28-7 Friday evening.The game was closer than the score indicated, but CHS scored two late touchdowns to secure the win.

Lady Indians defeat Mooreland, 11-3

ARAPAHO — Head coach Luke Thompson and Lakelynn Thompson were at Mooreland last season.No. 14 Mooreland came to No. 6 Arapaho- Butler Thursday and the Lady Indians won the game 11-3.“Thursday was a very emotional day for both Lakelynn and me,” he said.

Clinton defeats Buffalo, loses to Vici

SHATTUCK — Clinton softball played in the Shattuck Festival Thursday and split games. The Lady Reds defeated Buffalo 10-1 but lost to Vici 3-1. Clinton is 10-12 on the season and will play softball today in the Shattuck Festival, but their opponent was unknown at press time.

Arapaho blanks Sentinel

SENTINEL — No. 20 Arapaho-Butler got off to the start it needed in the Sentinel baseball tournament.The Indians played Sentinel in the first round and won the game 4-0.“It was a grind of a game and our guys stayed locked in the entire game,” coach Bryan Holt said.
