Fletcher Wildcats are State Champions

The Fletcher Wildcats Coach Pitch team are State Champions as they won the OK Kids Coach Pitch State Tournament, defeating the Poteau Pokes 13-11 at Acme Brick Park in Clinton. The Wildcats went 6-1 in the tournament and finished with an overall record of 44-8.

Arapaho loses to the State Champs

The Arapaho Indians were eliminated Friday in the OK Kids Coach Pitch State Tournament.Friday, they defeated Luther 5-4, but lost to eventual State Champion Fletcher, 12-4.The other loss came Thursday to the state runners up, the Poteau Pokes.

The Clinton Maroons baseball season came to an end Friday afternoon, as they lost to the Kingfisher Jackets 12-3 in the OK Kids Coach Pitch State Tournament.“I thought we played well, but did not hit the ball as well as we needed to,” Maroon coach Bryan McCarther said.

The Clinton Maroons almost came from behind to defeat the Hobart Hitmen but lost 11-9 in Thursday’s opening round of the Ok Kids Coach Pitch State Tournament.“I thought we played really well but made a couple mistakes which cost us the game,” Maroon coach Bryan McCarther said.

The Arapaho Indians lost their first game in the Ok Kids Coach Pitch State Tournament, 13-1 to the Poteau Pokes Thursday evening.“Well, this is the state tournament, which features the best coach pitch teams in Oklahoma,” Arapaho coach James Boone said.
