CHS falls to Canute

Clinton baseball played its first game of the Clinton Festival Monday evening, and played Canute, but the Reds fell behind early and lost the game 9-1.The Trojans scored five runs in the top of the first and scored three runs in the top of the second, to take a commanding 8-0 lead.

Clinton summer baseball splits two games

Clinton summer baseball has returned home for the summer, and played two home games last week, one on Thursday and one on Friday.The Reds defeated Sentinel 10-9 with a huge comeback and extra innings Thursday, but lost to Elk City 14-0 Friday.

Reds Track and Field hosting throws clinic tomorrow at CHS

Clinton track and field is hosting a discus and shot-put technique clinic, 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sunday at the Clinton High School practice gym.The cost is $20 and the only thing participants need to bring are tennis shoes. Crocs or Hey Dudes are not allowed.

CALUMET — Five miles separate Clinton and Arapaho-Butler, but both summer baseball teams played one another Tuesday 50 miles east at the Calumet Summer Festival.Clinton won the game 7-5, but it was a battle for both teams.
