Clinton sports preparing for postseason play

With the regular season of the winter sports in the books, Clinton High School basketball and boys wrestling prepare for the postseason.The boys’ wrestling team will head to Tuttle today to compete in the Class 4A Regional Tournament with the right to move on to the state tournament.

Clinton hoops end regular season with ‘Conflict’

On the night to celebrate the Clinton basketball seniors and what they meant to the basketball programs, both teams faced off with Weatherford in the final “Custer County Conflict” of the regular basketball season Tuesday in the Tornado Dome.

A-B hoops sweeps defensive district championships

To kickoff the postseason, both of the Arapaho-Butler basketball teams took on Pioneer-Pleasant Vale for the district title Saturday in front of their fans.The Lady Indians (12-10) shut out the Lady Mustangs in the second quarter on their way to capturing the title with a 40-24 win over P-PV.

Seventh-grade girls’ hoops finishes undefeated

Completing a season without a loss in basketball is rare, but the Clinton Middle School seventh-grade girls’ basketball team was able to etch its name in that list after finishing the 2026 season 18-0.In those 18 games, the Lady Whirlwinds not only won, but won in dominant fashion.
