In her second year at Southwestern Christian University in Bethany, former Clinton Lady Red basketball player Carmella Jefferson is working to hone her skill on the court.For Jefferson, she said she has enjoyed her sophomore season so far with the Eagles.

Clinton hoops swept by Blanchard Lions at home

In a Friday-night edition of Clinton basketball, both teams took on the Blanchard Lions in the Tornado Dome before heading off into the weekend.The Reds (1-1) couldn’t keep up with the Lions and fell 68-31, while the Lady Reds (0-2) trailed off late to the Lady Lions, falling 50-21.

Arapaho-Butler basketball splits with Burns Flat-Dill City

On the night to celebrate crowning the homecoming king and queen, the Arapaho-Butler Lady Indians (5-2) won in convincing fashion Friday night at home, as they took down the Burns Flat-Dill City Lady Eagles 66-37, while the Indians (3-4) fell 55-52 to the Eagles in the final game of the night.

Clinton wrestling pins Hinton to open season

To kickoff the Rhett Blundell era of Clinton High School wrestling, both the girls’ and the boys’ teams took on Hinton Thursday in the Tornado Dome.While the girls were in an exhibition match, the boys took care of business, winning 51-29.

Clinton football collects bevy of stats and awards

Throughout the season on the gridiron, the Clinton Red Tornado football players worked to help the team succeed with stacking as many stats as they can each game, as some were honored with All-District recognitions for their standout play on the field for Clinton.

CHS basketball opens season with overtime thriller

To tip-off the year, Clinton basketball faced off against the Harrah Panthers Tuesday in the Tornado Dome.The Reds (1-0) took down the Panthers 5857 after Ethan Lofland hit two free throws in the waning seconds of overtime to seal the win.The Lady Reds (0-1) fell 70-25 to the Lady Panthers.

Red Tornadoes football cap season with banquet

Despite coming together one last time to celebrate the season and the seniors, there was obvious emotion throughout the room as Coach John Higbee led the event for the final time as head coach of the Clinton Red Tornado football team.
