ELGIN – Clinton track and field competed Friday at the Elgin Owl Classic.Lola Hester and Kat Meacham took first and second in discuss, repsectively.Hester won the event with a throw of 133’03”.The win was Hester’s second-consecutive gold medal in discuss. She took first last week at Bethany.

Thompson shatters CMS long jump record

ELGIN – Clinton Middle School track and field had a successful afternoon at the Elgin Owl Classic Friday.Atticus Thompson obliterated the CMS boys’ long jump record by four feet.Thompson turned in a 21’1”, beating the previous record of 17’1”. His jump was two feet further than second place.

Eastern baseball remains perfect

WILBURTON – Eastern Oklahoma State College baseball (30-0) remained perfect on the season with a 3-0 series sweep over University of Arkansas-Rich Mountain Saturday.Eastern won the first game of a doubleheader Saturday 1-0 and followed up with a 6-3 triumph in the nightcap.

Lady Indians open Best of West with two wins

WEATHERFORD – The Arapaho-Butler Lady Indians went 2-2 to open the Best of the West Tournament Thursday.Arapaho-Butler opened the tournament with a 17-3 win over Woodward. They followed up with a 17-3 beatdown of Anadarko before falling 15-4 to Mustang and losing 10-1 to Elgin.
