CBA Crusaders back on track with road win

GRACEMONT – The Corn Bible Academy Crusaders snapped their 14-game skid Friday with a 54-39 triumph over Gracemont.The Crusaders trailed 8-7 after the first quarter but were able to scrap their way back into the game by halftime. Coach Asa Zoschke and the Crusaders led 23-21 at intermission.

Arapaho-Butler demolishes Cheyenne-Reydon

ARAPAPAHO – Class A fifth-ranked Arapaho-Butler rolled Cheyenne 56-28 Friday evening.Cheyenne-Reydon started the game on a 5-0 run before Ryan Carlisle buried a three-pointer. Brett Griffith tied the game at 5-5 before Joesph Nelson’s layup gave the Indians a 7-5 lead.

CBA upended at Gracemont

GRACEMONT – The Corn Bible Academy Lady Crusaders were unable to secure a victory Friday as they fell 39-28 to Gracemont.CBA led 7-4 after the first quarter. Sofia Schmidt led the Lady Crusaders with five points in the first frame. Schmidt finished with seven points.

Lady Dawgs crush UAM

WEATHERFORD – Southwestern Oklahoma State women’s basketball turned out its second consecutive 95-point performance with a 95-40 rout of Arkansas Monticello Saturday afternoon.SWOSU was successful on defense, holding UAM to 26% shooting as a team and forced 18 turnovers.

Lady Indians cruise on Senior Night, 48-36

ARAPAHO – The Class A No. 12 Arapaho-Butler Lady Indians earned a 48-36 win over Cheyenne-Reydon Friday evening.With 1:42 remaining in the first quarter, Katie Edelen knocked down two free throws to tie the game at 9-9.Edelen scored 13 in the game.

UAM halts SWOSU’s four-game win streak

WEATHERFORD – Southwestern Oklahoma State men’s basketball snapped its fourgame winning streak, losing to Arkansas Monticello 71-51 Saturday evening.SWOSU struggled to score in the first half, only scoring 17 points through the first 20 minutes of play.

NEO-Enid cruises past Redlands

ENID – The Northern Oklahoma College-Enid Lady Jets outscored Redlands 43-19 in the second half erasing a 30-26 halftime deficit to rout the Lady Cougars 65-49 Thursday night.

Offensive woes plague Red Tornadoes vs. Blanchard

BLANCHARD –It was a tough night for Clinton offensively as the 19th-ranked Red Tornadoes were upset by Blanchard 52-36 Thursday evening.Harrison Crumley gave Clinton a brief 8-7 lead with less than two minutes to play in the first quarter. Harrison finished with 10 points.

Thornton becomes Bulldogs’ all-time scoring leader

WEATHERFORD – Damion Thornton broke Southwestern Oklahoma State’s NCAA Division II scoring record for career points on Thursday night in a 70-67 victory over Southern Arkansas.

Hester scores 10 in Lady Jets’rout

WARNER – LaKysia Johnson scored 22 points leading Nothern Okahoma College-Enid to a 70-45 road win at Connors Monday night.Three other Lady Jets reached double figures including Tegan Jones with 12 points. Libby Zinn and Clinton graduate Aleisha Hester scored 10 points each.
