LAWTON – Abigai Lewis and Josilyn Schenk finished eighth and ninth, respectively as Southwestern cross country placed thir at the Aggie Duels Saturday.The Bulldogs secured third place with a team score of 62.Courtney Williams finished in 11th place.

Clinton softball was unable to keep pace with Weatherford, dropping an 8-1 decision Monday.The Reds’ lone run came in the top of the sixth inning on a Kenzie Kauk single that scored Makia Lovelace.Lovelace was hit by a pitch earlier in the inning.

SENTINEL – The Arapaho-Butler Indians suffered their second-straight loss in the Sentinel Tournament with a 5-4 loss to Fletcher Friday evening.Wyatt Waldrop scored the first run on a steal of home. Brett Griffith managed to swipe third on the play.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Tough sledding. The Clinton Red Tornadoes suffered a 39-24 setback at the hands of Heritage Hall Friday night.With 8:35 remaining in the first quarter, Aaron Seabolt gave Clinton an early lead with a 58-yard touchdown run.

MAGNOLIA, Ark. – The Southern Arkansas offense proved too much for Southwestern Oklahoma State University football as the Dawgs fell 47-27 Saturday evening.SAU struck first, but SWOSU got on the board when Tanner Griffin found Torin Justice for a 32-yard touchdown.

Lady Reds drop two

TUTTLE – The Clinton Lady Red Tornadoes fell 15-2 and 9-0 to Tuttle in consecutive games Thursday.Addyson Littke and Mackenzie Kauk drove in one run apiece.Saydee Starnes belted a double, scored one run and stole one base. Makia Lovelace added one double and scored once.

A-B falls at Sentinel

SENTINEL – The Class A No. 17 Arapaho-Butler Indians were unable to muster enough runs in the opening round of the Sentinel tournament, falling to the hosts 7-1 Thursday.Wyatt Waldrop recorded a key hit in the fifth frame and later scored on an error by a Sentinel infielder.

SWOSU loses 4-2

CLAREMORE – A goal and an assist from Brianna Benitez was not enough to earn a win as the Bulldogs fell on the road 4-2 against Rogers State Thursday.Launa Torrez bagged her second of the year and Benitez snagged the second of the game for SWOSU.SWOSU hosts the Angelo State today at noon.
