Lee joins Clinton in full-time capacity

A former Red Tornado and 2007 state champion returned to the sidelines last year in 2011 graduate Jacob Lee, and he’ll be coaching in a full-time capacity this fall, as he finishes up his degree at SWOSU to become a teacher.

Roque signs on with Bethany

A state qualifier, owner of a 62-27 high school record and now a college athlete – Clinton’s Elijah Roque will wrestle at the next level this year, signing on to continue his career at Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas.

Clinton volleyball far exceeding 2020 offseason work

The Clinton volleyball team started practice last Thursday, and through the first four days, thirdyear coach Tobi-Rae Barker already sees an extra, concerted effort from the players to improve. In fact, Barker has added individual workouts prior to practice, starting at 9 a.m.

Byng wins state championship

The Byng Southern Legends captured the OK Kids coach pitch state championship Saturday at Acme Brick Park in Clinton, beating the Shawnee PC Naturals, 12-0, in three innings. Byng swept the tourney with a record of 5-0 and dominated opposing teams.
