CHS athletics competes well across board last year

With fall sports starting practice next week, the 2021-2022 seasons are nearly here, but there’s still a few more things to mention about the impressive year from Clinton athletics. The Clinton team sports featured six winning seasons, and the teams combined to go 109-92.

It was bombs away for the Clinton football team’s passing attack Tuesday night in a home, seven-onseven scrimmage against Weatherford and Fairview. With soon-to-be, senior, third-year starting quarterback Caden Powell under center, CHS was extremely aggressive with its downfield passing.

Practice can start next week

Multiple athletics are allowed to begin practice next Thursday for the fall seasons, according to the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association (OSSAA). Clinton volleyball, Clinton fast-pitch softball, Arapaho-Butler fast-pitch softball and A-B baseball are all allowed to start practice.
