It’s been rescheduled three times, but the Class 4A West Regional Tournament, is expected to begin at 11 a.m. Saturday and finish Monday at the Tornado Dome, weather permitting. Just like the Hub City Tourney last month, the 106-to-145- pound brackets will wrestle from beginning to end Saturday.

The Clinton basketball teams will have their hands full at districts and regionals. First off, the CHS boys (11-5 overall) have to travel and play No. 16 Woodward (16-2) for districts, at 8 p.m. Saturday, which is a tough draw considering the season the Reds have had.

ARAPAHO – One year after getting a bye in the first round and cruising to an easy, district title win over Sterling, the No. 19 Arapaho-Butler girls’ basketball team (13-9 overall) had to take a difficult path, to try and win a secondstraight title.

Senior put in time to reach varsity

Just like the seniors of this year’s class, Zach Campbell stuck with the basketball program and helped it along its strong run to respectability in Class 4A. He spent all four years on the hardwood and made it his only sport this season.

All regional wrestling tournaments, including the Class 4A west regional that was scheduled to take place today and Saturday in Clinton, have been postponed due to inclement weather. Clinton Athletic Director Eugene Jefferson let the Clinton Daily News know of the change Thursday morning.

A-B’s district tourney times change

Due to the frigid weather blasting Oklahoma, Arapaho-Butler announced a change to the basketball district tourney. Now, opening-day games will be played at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. today. The Waukomis and Sentinel boys play in the former and the A-B girls and Sentinel play at the latter time.
