Overall fishing reported to be doing well at Foss Lake

According to the fishing report from Custer County Game Warden Clint Carpenter, on May 11 the water at Foss Lake registered to 2.5 feet below its normal elevation level, but it also remained in stable condition.The water was clear with the temperature staying around 64°F throughout the lake.

Clinton senior baseball player sees future in armed forces

With his senior season in the books, Clinton infielder Chase Ray is turning his attention to the future and life after high school.For Ray, he said being a member of the program has meant everything to him since he joined.“Well, it means a lot to really be a part of this team,” he said.

On the final day of the Class 3A softball season, the Arapaho-Butler Lady Indians (35-9) rode a wild ride of emotions that culminated in the Class 3A State Runner-up title Monday after losing 5-3 in the title game against Caddo at FireLake Ball Fields in Shawnee.

Clinton star wrestler signs to wrestle at next level

With the school year coming to a close, Clinton Red Tornado wrestler Marquis Martin has chosen where he would want to spend the next few years wrestling at the next level.Martin signed Thursday in the Clinton High School commons to wrestle for Northeastern Oklahoma A&M in Miami starting next season.

Clinton track and field competes at state meet

For the final time as a team this season, the Clinton High School track teams hit the road to compete in a meet.Both the girls and boys competed in the Class 4A State Track and Field Meet Friday and Saturday at Plainview High in Ardmore.

Clinton boys’ soccer ends season in second round

For the first time in five years, the Clinton High School boys’ soccer team has fallen before reaching the Class 4A title game.Clinton (9-7) fell to the Hilldale Hornets Thursday in Muskogee by the score of 2-1 to end the season in the Class 4A Quarterfinal game.
