‘Oklahoma!’ preparing for opening week

Next weekend marks opening night for “Oklahoma!” in a culmination of efforts between Southwest Playhouse, the City of Clinton, the Chamber of Commerce, and other various entities and organizations associated with the production.

Projects are ongoing across Clinton, both in preparation for and as a result of Route 66 reaching it’s 100th anniversary.These projects include the Mother Road Gardens sign, the Firehouse Project, and the Triangle Monument.
The CHS mock trial team will travel to Washington, D.C., and Philadelphia to enter into a national mock trial competition Oct. 14-19. Washita County’s aeronautical artists are getting to work on a high-flying canvas.The first of five Delta Air Lines airplanes landed at Burns Flat’s Premium Aerospace Center (PAC) Oklahoma runway for a fresh coat of paint.The Boeing 757 will be painted in PAC’s new, state-of-the-art Hangar 234.
