Charges have been brought against Brittany Ilene Wassana, 37, of Clinton, after she allegedly hit another woman, who was returning her child to her, with a baseball bat.Clinton Police officers met with the reporting party at 1:17 p.m.

The race for Dist. 26 State Senate has been decided. According to results from the State Election Board, Jessica Winegeart, of Calumet, will be the new state senator for Dist. 26. She bested Rick Koch, of Weatherford, by a margin of 5,064 to 4,154 votes or 54.94% to 45.06%.
