City council votes to condemn home

Condemnation was the final decree by the Clinton City Council at Tuesday night’s meeting for the home located at 500 N. 16th St. According to tax records, the property is owned by Wayne McGinnis, c/o Alta McGinnis.

Suspect crashes car in Washita River after chase

Trae Michael Schiele, 32, of Yukon, was arrested following a high-speed chase that began in Weatherford and ended in Clinton over the weekend, reaching speeds of up to 130 mph and instigating a multiagency manhunt in the process.

Packaging facility chooses to set up shop in Clinton

Marvin Wesley and Royden Anderson, partners of Frontier Packaging, a fulfillment and storage location, are working to start their operation in Clinton at the former site of Elliott Electric Supply on the corner of Avant Avenue and S.4th Street.

The deadline for requesting an absentee ballot for the Aug. 25 Runoff Primary Election, the City of Weatherford Municipal Primary Election, and two state questions is at 5 p.m. Monday, according to Custer County Election Board Secretary Ann Brown.An application can be downloaded at www. ok.
