NEW YORK (AP) — A former U.S.Army soldier was charged with arson and jailed without bail on Tuesday after prosecutors say he confessed to carrying out a fiery attack on a Manhattan federal office building where immigration hearings are held.

Trio to be honored in Oklahoma Route 66 Hall of Fame

The 2026 Oklahoma Route 66 Hall of Fame ceremony is set for Saturday at the Frisco Center. This ceremony normally adds two new members every two years, but due to the 100-year celebration will induct a third member into its halls.This year’s inductees into the hall are Lt. Gov.

Neptune set to close

Part of Neptune Drive will be closed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. July 27 through July 30, according to District 5 Resident Engineer and Manager Dax Sawyer for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation.“The closure will just be there at the I-40 bridge over Neptune,” said Sawyer.

Site purchased for Rt. 66 monument

At Tuesday evening’s meeting of the Clinton City Council, officials approved the purchase of a piece of land colloquially referred to as “The Triangle,” which sits across from McLain Rogers Park.
