Clinton boys’ wrestling under new leadership

After leading both the boys’ and girls’ wrestling teams this year, Coach Rhett Blundell will move over to solely coach the girls and Matt Kennedy will come in to coach the boys after leading the boys’ team over at Poteau.

Reds baseball ends era in regional tournament

For the final time, the Clinton Reds baseball team ended the season under the leadership of recently retired coach Kelly Gaunt after 38 years in the dugout.Clinton’s (9-25) season came to an end with a 9-0 loss to Harrah and a 12-2 loss to Tuttle in the Class 4A Regional Tournament.

Clinton soccer teams looking to build for future

While neither season ended the way anyone wanted, both Clinton soccer teams saw good things they can use going forward into the future.The Lady Reds (106) fell in the second round of the playoffs with a 3-0 loss to Oklahoma Christian School.

With high school behind her, recent Clinton graduate Vallery Desantiago has her immediate future set as she will begin to work toward helping people. For Desantiago, she said being a part of the Clinton Lady Reds soccer team was crucial to her while she was in high school.
