Supreme Court backs coach in praying on field after games

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Supreme Court said Monday that a high school football coach who sought to kneel and pray on the field after games was protected by the Constitution, a decision that opponents said would open the door to “much more coercive prayer” in public schools.

Powell grateful for Clinton

CHS falls to Canute

Clinton baseball played its first game of the Clinton Festival Monday evening, and played Canute, but the Reds fell behind early and lost the game 9-1.The Trojans scored five runs in the top of the first and scored three runs in the top of the second, to take a commanding 8-0 lead.

Clinton summer baseball splits two games

Clinton summer baseball has returned home for the summer, and played two home games last week, one on Thursday and one on Friday.The Reds defeated Sentinel 10-9 with a huge comeback and extra innings Thursday, but lost to Elk City 14-0 Friday.
